Mutual Supporting Distance

The distance at which two (or more) units can support one another – either by being able to physically move to reinforce the other in melee, or being able to overlap their fields of fire so both units can fire on an enemy attacking either of them.
If the tabletop terrain allows, it's hugely advantageous to deploy your units in mutually supporting distance.
