Minmaxing

Tailoring a unit, character, or force composition to gain Minimum penalties & Maximum bonuses available within the game rules.

While not technically cheating, it shows a 'win at all costs' attitude which isn't conducive to a friendly game, & can lead to unseemly scrabbling through rulebooks looking for every last +1.
Especially dubious when done at the expense of historical accuracy.
