Bathtubbing

Is using a wargames unit to represent two or more real ones. For instance, a notional 'battalion' may represent a brigade. This is one technique to represent bigger battles that a gamer might struggle to represent using their existing models or playing surface. It is believed to have originated in the phrase 'recreating Jutland in a bathtub'.
