I always try to prepare miniatures with a high standard of quality and detail. Stylistically, my preference is to display a sense of a "worked with" 'mech, using ink washes and detailing to bring out a feel of wear and tear on the machine.
On this particular Atlas, I used blended brown washes on the lower legs, combined with mild distressing of the sharp edges and light flaking of the paint around the gun barrels.
I think you should vote for me because my painting technique results in miniatures where the paint scheme is enhanced and supported by the detailing, rather than overshadowed by it. I believe that my techniques provide a good balance of presentation, and result in models that are equally suited to use as playing pieces or display items.
The miniature is Iron Wind Metals #20-942RE Atlas Heavy 'Mech (resculpt). This mini is painted with a combination of Apple Barrel and Citadel paints, and displays wet-transfer decals from Fighting Pirannha Graphics.
