Why You Should Vote For Me |
Dear ThuMPers, distinguished guests, intelligentsia and artists. I appeal to you to choose me out of, dare I say it: sheer pity. I've been unemployed now, lo these past 5 months. While I wouldn't want your pity for that, for many of my IT brothers here on this site share a similar fate – many for much longer periods of time.
Nay, I have a more serious problem. I am about to die. Yes! Yes, it is true. You see, with so much free time I've been painting my lead. All of it. I am nearly out of unpainted lead. Have you ever heard of a living wargamer who has painted all of his lead? Of course not! The moment the last bit of lead is painted then * POOF * the Archangel of Wargaming comes down from on high and strikes you dead on the spot. Can you let that happen to me? I beg of you, list me as a finalist so that I may have lead to paint and may yet live another few days! |
Painting Sample |
These figures were painted last week with a batch of about 10 figures. The Dwarf Thermo-Priest and Rifleman are part of the Confrontation line of figures. The Ogre Magi is a Reaper figure. I used inks for the Rifleman, a first for me. The rest of his painting was done with Vallejo acrylics. The other figures were painted using Armory acrylics, with some small items done in Vallejo. The picture was taken with a Sony F-505V with an f-stop of 3.4, macro lens and a GE 75 watt Reveal(tm) broadspectrum light source in a portable lamp. I use white krylon interior spray paint for a base primer and Armory Matte Sealer for protection. |
