| Why I Should Be a Finalist |
I will bring quality brush-man-ship, and a twist of unfortunate humor to this painting contest (see attached photo of Pink-Cattle-Axe...Get it?).
If selected as a finalist, I'll make sure the site gets a solid article for the Workbench, and lots of photos to go along. I represent the common gamer... I'm not a professional paintslinger, I am the middle-of-the-field guy who hopes to surprise everyone with some solid work.
So, choose me as your Finalist, because if you don't... who will? |

The figure is a Games Workshop Minotaur Lord. I painted him over the course of a weekend a year or two ago, and have dubbed the piece Bruce Holstien, and the Pink Cattle Axe. For folks who dont' get the joke... take a look at the Axe Bits... see that little red duck on the blade (Cadillac Catera's original cartoon representative)? See the Cadillac insignia on the Tabard?... The other axe has "ElDorado" painted on it, and the head of the axe is reminiscent of a big ol' tailfin.
I admit, the joke is a bit of a stretch... but hey... where else can I use my pot of Ral Partha Flourescent Pink? |
