Dwarven Hang-Glider Painting Contest Entries

I would begin with the pilot. I think he should wear bright colors. Possibly reds and blues. But afterwards he would need to be detailed with blacks and greys to simulate scorch marks. He is riding next to a giant flamethrower after all. The flamethrower itself I would give a brass look and the adjoining sphere I would paint with a glass effect. This will allow you to see the fuel in the tank. As for the glider itself, it appears to me to actually be made of the wings of a giant bat. My first impression would be to paint it as such. Mostly browns. But I would expect the daredevil pilot to have done some customization, so I would add markings or personalized artwork in brighter colors.

This is one of the more recent pieces that I have completed. It is my favorite piece that I have painted yet. My photography skills are getting better, but I still feel that some of the facial detail was lost. I hope that you like it and I hope I get a chance to paint in the contest.
