Dwarven Hang-Glider Painting Contest Entries

Looking through the existing dwarf units in the army, there isn't really much in the way of a coherent color scheme. I think the best way to go on the figure would be with ruddy, earthy colors that really sum up the archetypical dwarven nature we all know and love. I imagine the glider itself would be a thick leathery material painted a dark bone color or perhaps with a hint of orange to add a little color. I'd drill out the barrel and give it a scorched look. It's hard to tell much about the pilot, but his beard would definitely not be gray. I can't imagine a flame thrower hang glider pilot living long enough to reach grayness!

This is a converted 28mm Space Marine, Leman Russ primarch of the Space Wolves. Nearly half of it was resculpted.

I'm a good painter. I will put more time into this than anyone else and when its done, people will look at the finished product and say "There is no way that's 15mm!"
