Hail Caesar! Review Contest Entry Form

This is a contest in which the Finalists will each play and review the gladiatorial miniatures game Hail Caesar! (published by Melees Gloriosus).

This is a two-stage contest. In Stage One (the stage we're on now), contestants submit a written explanation of why they should be chosen as Finalists. Each contestant must also recruit one other local TMP reader to be their team partner. The partner must also submit a written statement. The team must also submit a photo showing both team members.

Our readers will then vote for the top five entries, who become Finalists and go on to Stage Two. (If there is a large number of entries, the voting may be divided into multiple rounds.)

During Stage Two, the five teams of Finalists will each receive a free review copy of Hail Caesar! (courtesy of Melees Gloriosus). They will then have three months to:

1. write a "first impressions" report when they receive the rulebook
2. write a report of their first playtest session (with photos)
3. conduct a second playtest session (on another day), take a few photos, and write a final report (including final assessment of the game)

The contest will conclude with voting by the TMP membership to determine which Finalist team did the best job of reviewing the game.

How Do I Enter?

1. Fill out and submit this form.
2. You should receive an email from us almost immediately.
3. When you get that email, follow the directions provided.

No entries will be accepted later than Wednesday, August 31st, midnight PST.

How Many Times Can I Enter?

Once.

Are There Any Requirements for Entry?

1. You must have no pre-existing bias. For instance, you can't be closely associated with any set of existing or soon-to-be-published gladiatorial rules (including designers, publishers, and close associates).
2. You must have never played Hail Caesar! before.

Do I Have To Like the Game to Win?

No. TMP readers will vote for the fairest and most complete review.
