Empires Review Contest Entries

I have been a playtester/reviewer for many companies, including Avalon Hill, FASA, Agents of Gaming, and Cheapass Games. I've written reviews for online game stores (now sadly out of business), and short articles for Babcom magazine.

I'm part of a demo team - we demonstrate games from over a dozen companies to local stores, conventions, etc., so I've lots of experience with the types of questions gamers ask, and know how to give a good "feel" for a game with just a short description and explanation.

I've been a gamer for about 30 years, and long ago I got "A"s in English and Creative Writing! :-)

I've been a gamer for many years, we met over a gaming table, and despite what he may tell you, I usually win!

I've been involved in most of the playtesting/reviewing our gaming group has done over the years. While I leave the report write-up to Gergle, I have a lot of input, and can give a women's perspective, something most reviews lack. I play games most "game chicks" won't come near, but at the same time I understand what might attract them to a particular game, and what might turn them off immediately.
