Amazon Army Design

Art Of War (Russo & Larsen)

Army is built using the Boetian Armies 410 - 300 BC list. This list was picked mostly so I could use most of the figures in Eureka's Amazon line. The army lists in Art of War run on the percentage of people, not by points. So this is an 11,000-woman army, worth 1,925 points. All unit point costs were rounded to the nearest whole point.

Skirmishers (up to 10% sling, up to 10% bow)
one unit 16 figs - 93 points.
8 bow a mix of 100AMX06 & 07
8 slingers 100AMZ08

Peltasts (ua and lt up to 10%)
one unit 16 figs - 96 points.
8 ua peltasts 100AMZ05
8 lt peltasts 100AMZ04

Light Cav. (required unit, up to 30%)
three units 16 figs - 208 pnts each, total 624 points
16 lt cav 100AMZ12

Md Hoplites (required unit, up to 75%, with up to 20% hv)
6 units 16 figs - 185 points each, total 1112 points.
13 md Hoplites 100AMZ02 & 03
3 hv Hoplites 100AMZ01

Note: 100AMZ02 and 03 are stretching the point since they would need to have grieves and helmet to really be mediums.

Art of War does not use command figures, but you could add a Queen figure to be the Queen and retinue.
