has there been any word on the future of that thing? It's been a year and the movie is due out this July according to IMDB. |

Fast-paced action and innovative game mechanics will make FFG's first Collectible Miniatures Game an instant hit! Expected at FFG: August, 2007 " Boo hiss!! A CMG.. |

"I could not find were it says the movie will be out in July. The poster says 2008." My bad, I misread IMDB. |

I just hope it will decently sculpted, decently priced and with no ties whatsoever to the hideous-looking movie that's apparently in the works. |

Yes, I hope the mini look good, and are decently painted, so, I can use them with my existing Warzone stuff

IMHO Fantasy Flight cranks out high production value products. They would do well to land the original castings and learn from Rackham and Mongooses trials and tribulations so far. I would certainly get back into Warzone with passable prepaints. |

" I think the plan was to make the CMG 1/48 scale. Don't know if that's changed. I suppose the new Legion nasties might still work alongside old humans. Not likely to get into this regardless tho. CMGs just don't float my boat. |

I got a little fall 2006 catalog from them and it says the game is due out in May 2007. The only pics it had were of the boxes and not the minis. They do have some great looking games though. |

I think we all agree that FFG will (or can) do a great job with this game. But
will New players care about the WZ Universe? Will old WZ players buy into the new scale? Will the rules be any good, or too simple? Will the collectibility factor kill an otherwise good game? We can only wait and see. (Being collectible kills it for me.) |

Like tnjrp mentions, I had also heard they were going to be 36mm which should be close to 1/48. If true, the "commons" will not be in scale with anything if you already have cases of the 28mm Warzone figures from Target Games or Excelsior Entertainment. The neat monsters that I'd want to get large like Nepharites, Ezoghouls, Razides, Bio-Giants, Mercurian Maculators, etc. will likely be rare and cost way more than I'm willing to spend to replace my existing models. If it was a new version of Siege of the Citadel, done like Descent, I might give it a go even with the larger figures. But a larger scale and collectible game is pretty much a deal killer for me, thus my earlier Boo Hiss! |

To note, if FFG says 7/07
expect it anywhere between 1 and 4 months after that. They are pretty much awesome at setting release dates, and missing them widely. |

Given the quality of the prepaints of the WOTC Clix lines, as well as AT-43 and BFE, my expectations of prepainted CMG's are very low. |
| Topkick890 | 22 Jan 2007 3:55 p.m. PST |
1/32 scale actually from what I read at their website. |
| Thornhammer | 22 Jan 2007 8:31 p.m. PST |
I might buy some of the monsters as singles off eBay, but if the figures aren't going to fit in with my existing models from other ranges, I'm not going to buy into the game. The Warzone license doesn't light up my "gotta-have-it" senses, either. I don't dislike it, but I'm sorta "eh" about it after having watched the other editions crash and burn. -Thornhammer |

Stupid scale and collectible nature of the game put the double-whammy on this game for me. I'll pass on it and never look back. |
| billthecat | 22 Jan 2007 11:59 p.m. PST |
I think seattle gamer has it
1)a scale all to it's own 2)"collectible" A shame. One of the above would be okay, but BOTH? A new version of siege of the citadel--a little less dumbed down (don't get me wrong ,I have fond memories of the game)would have been an instant success I would imagine. too bad. |
