I'm looking to have my publications be available for print on demand for people who want a hard copy. I've been uploading the pod file to rpgnow. As soon as the uploader page will accept the password and take the files it will be there but for now my run of bad luck is going strong and it says invalid password so my apologies to people who use OBS- hopefully it will be up there soon ;) lol I was wondering if people knew of other pod services that they have tried and liked?

Lulu.com -- gives you a ton of control and it's cheap.

I found this thread with a list of PoD companies: TMP link

Woot! Thanks Fifty4 :D

Compared to spending all day formating for the OBS server to tell me it was the wrong password, Lulu was an easy 2 hour process :)

Nice one. Could I also suggest that you add "wargames and wargame" to your keywords. Good luck with the sales.

Try Neo-Forge. They should have a good program for this.

I do not want to bad mouth Lulu, but their prices are VERY high when compared to other POD companies. The only reason to use Lulu is to be listed in their catalog and have them take care of your shipping needs (in other words, you can send your book to them and forget about it -- they'll handle everything else).

Another thoroughly satisfied vote for Don Perrin's QualityPOD!

I am hoping to use Don for some prints too but I think he is still 'away' as I have not heard back from him. Till then I wanted to get stuff rolling (have some stuff to sell and give out at the local con) as in my experience when a project stops 'moving' it dies on me lol.

Lulu did have a hefty 'binding' price compared to others but had cheaper BW (2 cents rather than 3) and was pretty simple to upload the files. I may do a BW hardcopy later though it seems a waste since all of the pages are colour and in that case most people would likely just go with the ebook I'd think

Should have it on RPGnow asap as well as they are letting me upload it to the regular server (the pod one doesnt seem to like me lol).

Wow! I posted at 4:58 and you could buy the book at 6:16!!!!

Now that's cool technology!

What about BookSurge via Amazon? They seem to have fewer options re: book length and format than Lulu but their quality is supposed to be better.
