Just read the blurb on the website for these rules and it sounded very much like Tractics. Has anyone played these yet (and provide a review)? A copy of Tractics just sold on Ebay for $281!!! Wow! Rob. |

I'm rich
. should I care to part with them, which I do not. My first real set of wargaming rules for miniatures. I still remember trudging through the snow, with little sister in tow, to buy them. Dragged her for a couple of miles. Definitely worth the effort. |

Does she still appreciate what you did for her? I may dig my copy out and play with my son, don't think I'll be parting with it soon. |

Of course, she complains about it periodically during family holidays. I let her off the hook though when we got home. She didn't have to play my opponent, and lose badly by scenario design. |

link The link above will take you to the Overview where you will find a blurb by Rich Jones of the Wargames Journal. This page will also give you some game-play examples. I can't help you with the Tractics questions, sorry. Jürgen |

Believe it or not, it sounds too complicated to be TRACTICS. TRACTICS base to hit was 12, normally, and it used a D20 (actually numbered chips since when printed there were NO D20 on the planet, only D6). The set described sounds much more detailed. For example, no D100 was used because there weren't any, so the hit location was based on 5% increments (D20) to determine where a vehicle was hit. There was no shatter factor for the penatrator. Infantry hit used a D6 to determine how bad (optional rule) and there were no wound points or bleed out rules. Too detailed. TG |

@ Tank Guy…Tractics, in part, inspired Ben Lacey to make his own set of rules, and meant to be completely different. Me and Ben briefly played Tractics back in the late 80's. Joe |
