I'm looking to possibly market a range of historical 15mm miniatures, and have a sculptor lined up. Once the sculpts are created, I want to contract with someone to make the molds and then cast up the models. It would be more economical if I did it myself, sure, but I have a fulltime job and not a lot of spare time after work and on the weekends. Any suggestions on someone who can do this job? Thanks. |

There are lots of companies that provide this service. Are you US, UK, or somewhere else based? In the US, off the top of my head The London Warroom and I believe Legio X. Rich |

Operator5, I'm in the USA. Thanks for the suggestions. Any other possibilities (not the the ones given are not good ones)? |

Hi Larry- I'm curious- are these the Sogdian chakars and friends you've been wanting for some years(?) ? Chthonic regards B |

No, this would be another line, although some of the models may carry over a bit
. Eureka very nicely agreed to make me a bunch of those Chakar, on the two test sculpts they had made for me. Now I've got about a hundred of them! It took them a long time to cas them all, as they only had one mold for each pose, but that was ok by me. So I've got the Sugdhian armoured horse covered. For the Sugdhian Light Cav, I could probably use Sughdian light cavalry made for Arab armies by several manufacturers, and the levy spearmen could probably come from generic dark ages foot spearmen from central asia or the middle east, as long as they are not wearing turbans or anthing else too specific. For the Sassanid exiles, the AB Figures Sassanids seem a no-brainer. |
