I am going to build the classic model kit of the Arizona. I was going to build the waterline version, it seems more fitting. In 1941 what was the deck color? Measure 1 I can handle, but it doesn't give the color of the deck? Light wood, dark wood or painted? Any one have any ideas? Brent |

I've always seen it as light wood. They were wooden decks on a 20+ year old vessel that had been swabbed virtually daily. The wood portion was quite sunbleached. |

Yes, I think a very light, sunbleached wood is correct. When I did the same kit some time ago, I remember stressing trying to get the shade just right. A google search will come up with some really great versions of this kit on some of the many scale modeler websites. They are a great reference and inspiration. |

Found this one of the North Carolina: picture Missouri: picture Same site has a pic showing the deck of the Texas, similar tone: picture Based on that, I'ld go with the light colour. |
