Is there any companies out there that make 28mm Aztecs, Mayans, or Incas? Foundry came close but then did not deliver.

Naismith Design make "true 25mm" of all 3.
Ral Partha made same, but no Mayans.
Tin Soldier makes larger Aztecs.
Try "Haus of Stuff" for 25mm Aztecs, if they are still around.

Ral Partha might still be available:

Can also look at Outpost

Or Eureka.

Foundry also abandoned their well sculpted Inca line. I was part of a group that approached Outpost to complete the Inca line and to keep the sculpting style the same. Here is an example:

Together with Foundry's rank and file Inca and Colla warriors, Outpost will give a beautiful Inca army. (It helps if you can paint like Neil Burt, too!)

The only thing missing are Anti Forest Indians. I find the Copplestone Amazonian Indians work the best.

Eureka and Outpost both make Maya. The sculpting style makes it difficult to mix them.

Outpost make pretty good Aztecs, Tarascans, and excellent Huaxtecs!

I personally like the TAG Aztecs, Tlaxcaltecs and Otomi the best. Some people think their poses are a bit stiff.

I have conquistadors by Foundry, Outpost, TAG and Eureka. They are all excellent.

I go mainly with outpost, foundry no longer supplies weapons with their Aztecs. I also use eureka personality figures, very nice.

Scheltrum as well.I got no problem mixing up tribal types as presumably they are not uniform like Potsdam Grenadiers….

It's got nothing to do with uniforms. It has to do with sculpting styles. For example, here are the Eureka Maya:

And here are the Outpost Maya:

I don't know if I would mix them. I like both lines, though.

I've acquired some Tin Soldier 28mm Aztecs.

Do any other company's figures mix well with them?

I've acquired some Tin Soldier 28mm Aztecs.

Ok, lets have a look at them:

Let's pick the Cuachique figures, AZA10 Cuachique Veteran, and AZA11 Cuachique Captain. First of all, all Cuachiques were veterans, that's how you became a cuachique. All cuachiques were simply cuachiques, no sergeants, no captains, no colonels, etc. They all wore the distinctive "Mohawk" hairstyle. Neither figure seems to have that hairstyle from what I can see. Is the captain wearing some sort of hat? At least the Captain is wearing the proper "Chicunauhpanquetzaliztli" (whew!) back banner. Why isn't the Veteran wearing one? All cuachiques wore the distinctive yellow feather body suit. Why is the Veteran in short sleeves and bare legs?

Lets contrast them with cuachiques from other companies. Lets try The Assault Group:

Well they get the haircut right, but two of the cuachiques are only wearing their maxtlatl, or short wrap. Which is odd since 2 of the "Aztec Quachicqueh Suit Wearer with Maquahuitl #456" aren't actually wearing suits! You can ask them specifically to only send you figures of actual suit wearers, but then you only have 2 poses.

How about Outpost:

These guys have the right haircut, the right back banner, the right suit AND the proper paint job. They even have piercings! What don't I like? The heads are a little big. More than a little. I use these figures though.

Don't have any!

Bear's Den and Eureka both make Cuachiques, but do not have pictures on their websites.

Apart from that I don't know how your figures match up with others.

The Foundry Incas packs can make for a good core that can be filled out with Outpost Incas.

Definitely compatible.

Bear's Den do have pictures of their figures. Aztecs for example:

And let's not forget the Incas:

I had never heard of Bear's Den until reading this post. Is this a new company making new figures, or a new company recasting some older line?
