Though I did not check the sight, the Simple mechanics could be adapted from the Circus Maximus and Speed Circuit series of games. |

I just posted a big reply to the Rollerball rules question over on another board: TMP link btw, when I first began working on my rules, my original inspiration (other than the movie of course) was Circus Maximus. We played that AH title more than any other game ever, and so naturally we began building Rollerball out of another Bread & Circuses sport
I eventually dropped all the ideas I lifted from CM and came up with wholly original game mechanics, but it was still my starting point.

Posting here, in case someone missed the 2009 announcement and stumbled across this old thread instead: Over the years I've gotten a lot of requests for my miniature rules for a certain violent future sport. After due consideration I decided to release my rules for free under Creative Commons licensing. You can now download the complete game from my site ( japenet.net in the games section ) as a PDF containing the rules, track sections and playing pieces -- all of which can be printed out on a standard color printer.
