Rebs go to Brazilian jungle (or someplace similiar) at the end of the ACW in order to escape the Yankee yoke and discover maybe cavemen, pigmies, dinos, Tupi or Amazon types
it would give me another use for part of my ACW collection
just thinking out loud. |

I got into VSF looking for "other" uses for my minis. Makes eminent sense. |

I really love the idea! Of course, my opinion is not biased in the least. :) CC link |

"The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", a Tusk scenario by Matthew Hartley from Ragnarok 28, which involves Confederate forces trying to escape with their trained brontosaurus after Appomatox, can be found online at sfsfw.net/a/28/dixie.php |

Is this a new bug, CC only appearing third on a caveman thread? ;-) Of course, to reach the Amazon they'd need some ironclads intact, so you have naval actions against large dinosaurs as well

Could be an excuse to buy some of those rather nice Foundry Aztecs and Incas. Hell, even a colony of lost conquistadores. |

What about a hidden "Hunley" base, for those not willing to give up the fight after the original went down in 1864? link link link Just an idea. CC |

They go upriver, deep into the Amazonian jungles of Venezuela, Guyana or Brazil, looking for the appropriate site to set up their base, only to find that it is not your typical jungle . . . CC |

I'd like to see a game where Jeff Davis is fleeing up the Amazon (disguised as a woman, of course) pursued by the hated Yankees, and having to dodge dinosaurs and poisoned darts, as well. Sounds ace. Like to see him get his head bitten off by an allosaurus, too. |

Scheltrum make a 25mm waterline Hunley. link The Foundry tribal warriors with braided hair make good Amazonian indians.

This sounds vaguely like a theme park in Virginia. link I have vowed to visit there, someday. I also need to see nearby Foamhenge. |

Confederate generals served in Egypt, so why not other troops going to Africa. A great source of slaves for them too. They start a slaving business, selling to Islamic dealers and while going inland discover a lost city of Romans who have giant trained lizards. Moisture cuts down Confed's fire power so the combat is more even. To the left is a colony of evolved gorillas (ala "Congo") to the right is a troop of anti-slave trade Brits, behind are rampaging natives. What a spot for the Rebs. |

Bob and his dog "Moisture cuts down Confed's fire power so the combat is more even." Have any idea how "moist" it gets in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana? Otherwise, a neat idea. But I'd like to hear more about Confederates serving in Egypt. This is a new one on me. |

Has anyone else seen Sahara? My son loved the opening sequence with the Texas escaping the Union troops
.they could have sailed south instead and found Caprona before Dinosaur Doug got there
then when the U-boat gets there the place will be covered in tobacco and cotton plantations being farmed by the locals for the second generation ex-southerners
.muskets versus Mausers
..plus dinosaurs
