Hi,

Wondering what ranges of 15mm Aliens are around? I'm aware of GZGs Phalons and Kra'Vak and have seen pics from Peter Pig, Laserburn, Irregular and Alternative Armies.

Eureka have Tigermen and lizardmen in their 300Club (waiting on enough pre-orders to go into production). I would really like to find Vargr-like dog-people, Aslan – lionmen, Kafirs (Traveller 2300) or avianoids.

Regards

David

I have a full set of traveller aliens (about 5 of each race) in 15mm on minor races shelf. They came as a boxed set. I cant remember the maker off hand but I'll have a rake round and see if I can find out.

Have a look at Peter Pig's range of odds and ends – he does dogheads in there, amongst others.

I use Pendraken's 10mm Aliens for for 15mm. They conme in a few sizes and are great for bug hunts. FreiKorps also has 15mm Aliens. For the funky Star Wars type aliens 15mm.uk is the site that has the Laserburn aliens.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Alternative Armies/ 15mm.co.uk were going to release 15mm greys… not sure if that's still the case or not.

qrf has a scifi range of 15mm aliens

The QRF figures are the former-Freikorps range. Both big and small aliens, plus one seriously big mother! (Oh, and predatory hunter types)

Are there pictures of the QRF marines somewhere? he site pictures seem busted.

GeoffQRF01 Aug 2006 5:00 a.m. PST

I'll try and fix them tonight… not sure if I have the Marines in my folder though.

Hey, thanks for all the replies, guys. Does this site rock or not????!! I'll try and respond to all.

Hi X42, do you stock figures, or do you just have your collection displayed in a nice and logical manner? :) Citadel did a range of 15mm Traveller figures, including military and, I think, aliens, back in the mid-80's (I have the Adventurers set and a slightly plundered military set). Sadly OOP, though they do surface on E-Bay from time to time (depends on which major organ you can spare to get them, tho'). If the figures you have are still in production, I would be very keen to learn more.

Hi JDE, I had considered headswaps, using Peter Pig heads. My concern (possibly a bit silly for 15mm) is that the hind leg on, say, a canine or feline, is built differently to a human's. Doing a headswap, without the limb surgery, would then give you a rubber suit alien (think original Star Trek TV series). But, having said that, it could still be a goer for 15mm, especially for a large group where the eye is more drawn to what they're doing, then to their nether regions :)

Hi Darius, thanks for the tip on Pendraken, hadn't thought of them. It appears QRF have the Freikorps aliens and the Laserburn ones could be worth looking further into. Has anyone seen/painted any of the Laserburn figures?

Hi JDE again, GZG has done Greys in their Stargrunt 15mm range. No idea about Alternate Armies.

Hi Marcus and Geoff. I do hope you can fix your photo links, Geoff. Last time I passed through your site, many of the photo links were down. Would be good to have a look :)

Hi Todd, thanks for the headsup on Gorilla Games. I had not heard of them. Will go and have a look.

Thanks again, one and all. If I find anything new, I'll let you know.

Some of pendraken's rats and lizards make wonderful 15mm sf aliens.

15mm Vargr are made by two manufacturers.RAF, who have the original Striker figures, and Darkest Star.

Aslan are also covered by RAFM.
