I want to get a used hardback of this book, & noticed that there are two different printings. Can anyone tell me which has the better binding? (preferably threaded, not glued). Or, can someone at least tell me if their copy is still intact after all these years. thanks

The Random House is most likely a book club edition. Your best bet is to search for the book on biblio.com and ask the booksellers directly if they can describe the binding. If the binding is important, I'd be wary of the listings on Amazon as some times the information provided by the book sellers is incorrect.
