The much-esteemed Jim Stuht has kindly lent me footage from his four-reeler epic: California Smythe and the Grotto of Evil. You can see some shots of the action at the link below. link Richard A. Johnson Rattrap Productions pulp-heroes.com 45adventure.com |

Will you be at Origins this year???? |

As much as I would like to, commitments for Historicon have me booked in July (both the prep leading up to the convention and the work on Amazing War Stories through early June). I'm going to try and get a regular convention schedule for 2007. Rich |

I want to thank Rich for the fantastic rules and his generous prize for my game at LittleWars. I'm still recovering from the weekend, but will work up a report on the game as it played out as soon as I can. We were only scheduled for a 4-hour slot, but the players refused to quit and we kept on going for another 2 hours. (Time slows down dramatically when 6 guys decide to shoot the bejesus out of anything that moves!) Just as Zelda was about to be snatched from a horrible death at the hands of the Lavender Shade, we ran out of film and will have to start working on the sequel! For some more shots of the proceedings stop by my site and have a look at: sirpeter.net/LWGame.html Jim S |

It was an awesome game Jim! For those interested the system played very well, the scenery was awesome, and Jim was a great ref! All the players had a great time. I recommend this game, and ref, for anyone at a con who has the oppertunity to play. I am the guy with brown hair in the green shirt with a floral pattern at the bottom of the shirt. |

This is truly an amazing looking setup. I love the idea of doing the four serialized scenarios. Are you going to give us a write up? Or at least a breakdown on how you ran it? Marc |

Delta (or should I say "Chopper") Glad you had a good time — if we could have played 1 or 2 more turns, the outcome would have been finalized. The Lavender Shade had rolled to disappear the next turn (his minions would have scattered) and the lovely Zelda would have been up for grabs. It would have been interesting to see what or who would have been the next to "fall" into the well! Oh well, just means I've gotta start working on the sequel! |

I will do a writeup of the game in a day or two and post it on the Sir Peter site. (How closely it follows the actual game depends on just how foggy I was during the first hour or two of playing! Gotta have more coffee before I run these things!) As for a breakdown on the prep and thought processes behind the game, I will try to come up with something and put it on the HLSS yahoo group site for folks to peruse. |

Jim Stuht is a great guy and runs a great game. His game was opposite ours so I couldn't play in it. BTW Jim, we were looking for you Saturday night for dinner. We needed someone else to help keep Karl in line as Ray just wasn't up to the task alone. |
