Here are comparison photos of the unpainted baboons in my collection: link To the far left is a Foundry Darkest Africa archer, while to the far right is an EM-4 (Grenadier) Future War Rebel. The photos include baboons from: Black Orc Games Lance and Laser Obelisk Miniatures Crocodile Games I hope this helps. CC |

Cacique Caribe, Where did you find your Eureka "POTA" Apes with guns miniatures? I'm looking to at least find one of each pose so I can mold and cast some for me. Let me know if you have any leads into some of the minis. David dglennjr@yahoo.com |

Unfortunately, I had to sell off my collection and I can't think of anyone who still has any available for sale. "so I can mold and cast some for me" Careful with statements like that. The IP Police may fall on you like flies. :) CC |

CC, But there's no problem if you mold and cast them for your own personal use. They cannot regulate that. However, if I were to start trading them or selling them to others, then the IP Police may start to look in my direction. David G. |

CC, Also, forgot to mention that my heart skipped a beat and a tear came to my eye when I read, "I had to sell off my collection". ..and those apes were so young. Did you ever acquire any of the Eureka "Shiny One-eyed robots"? I'm still looking for those. David G. |

"But there's no problem if you mold and cast them for your own personal use. They cannot regulate that." I agree wholeheartedly. Just be prepared to be contradicted by the over-sensitive. :) "Shiny One-eyed robots"? I've never seen them, but I'll check with my gaming buddies. CC |

dglennjr, people who got the shiny one eyed robots are very careful not to part with them I believe; Rarity adds value after all. Besides, just one is not much good to you, is it? I must admit, the idea of a baboon army is growing on me, having seen these minis. And two great advantages spring to mind - 1. The only force taht can defeat them is one made up of weasels, and they aren't common. 2. There is no need to paint pants on them, especially if you win. |

CW, Yes, even one would be of use. I could then mold it and cast more. I then could modify some of the castings for additional poses, mold those and cast more. You have to make due with what you have. If I can't find any of the one-eyed shiny robots within a reasonable time, then I will just have to modify some other figures into Cylon Centurians and go through the same process of molding and casting for my own use. I was thinking of using some of the 25mm Metal Star Wars Miniatures Battles(WEG)or the 28mm Plastic Star Wars Miniatures (WOTC) Stormtroopers/Clonetroopers as a base. A little trimming, filing, additional sculpting putty here and there and..whola..Cylons. I'll have to go through this process anyways in order to create Colonial Warriors. What do you think? -David |

Well Great minds think alike – I ordered a set of the 3 Baboons last week (plus some other figures to support the 40mm Flash Gordon collection). I did not order the Shaman as I thought him a bit cartoon like. However with HLBS now having smaller Baboon sculps I can have a family of six, all different sizes. Just keep in mind that there are size differences among many of these: link CC |

To CC Thanks – but I think the Lance and Laser figures should be OK with 40mm Graven Image figures, the HLBS can be juveniles! Check out my latest post – A Monkey Man from the toy product – Monster-in-my-Pocket collectable miniature game. Thanks Tony dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.com |
