Anyone have any of these? The pics are spotty on the website, and they claim "Each building has internal detail and separate roof. No assembly required." I went ahead and ordered "25WB 3 BRICK BUILT JAIL WITH CELL" from RLBPS, and I'll pass on my impressions. I just wanted to know what others think. A little expensive in the US, but if they are all they claim it might be well worth it. frontlinewargaming.co.uk rlbps.com/RLBPFrt.htm |

I've always wondered myself— please let us know! |

I can't vouch for the buildings but I just got an order from Frontline that contained about 70 packets of furniture. The furniture scale if consistent with the line would suggest that their buildings are compatible with the Arnica Montana buildings and the Old Glory's line. Hope this helps. |

I have the saloon, jail, hotel, land office(i think thats what it is) Alot of flashing and the material that it is cast out of is very brittle. They look great though. The only coplaint that I have is that they are more to the scale of true 25mm. Next to the Tombstone set from OG they look small. The two story hotel has four rooms upstairs and a cool stair case on the lower floor but the hallways are to small for the 25mm slotta bases. Hope this helps. |

That helps a lot— I'll just stick with OG and Arnica, Montana's goodies for the nonce. |

Am I reading that site correctly? They say their 25mm steamboat is only 8.40 quid. That can't be right but if it is I'll get three. Anyone know definitively? |

The steamboat only holds 4-5 minis by my understanding, but the price is decent. One of these days I need to get a Mississippi Steamer! |

I keep meaning to invest in some internal furnishings. It's the high cost of shipping that keeps turning me off. ;-( |

I'm in the UK, and I got loads of the interior furnishings. The saloon set is particularly good, with bar and billiard table. Very impressed with the quality and price, although I can see why the shipping would put you off if you live in the US. |

I have about 8 of the buildings including the saloon, jail, bank and 2 story general store, water tower and they paint up very well. A bit of flash in the windows but nothing a knife or Dremel tool cant remove easily. I use Foundry figures based on 2 pence pieces and they work very well together. As do they with foamcore buildings that one of our wargaming crowd made I also added a few of the pdf wanted posters, building signs and adverts from the Foundry website which just tops them off. I wish they would make a gallows! I plan to invest in some of the interior sets at the next show I visit. |

"goodies for the nonce." Could I just warn you 'nonce' has changed its meaning in UK English since Shakespeare wrote 'Hamlet' and that would NOT be a great selling line to attach to a business! |

I just got the jail in the mail. I'm pretty happy with it. The inside is textured and even has a cell door between the office and cell. I'll post a pic somewhere when I get the chance. Size-wise it may be slightly small for 28mm, but not all that noticably. I have my Artizan Earps Lawmen standing on the front walk and they look natural enough. On a base it looks like they might have to duck through the doorway, but if they were standing level with the floor they would be OK. |

I just thought I would add that we will have the full line at Cold Wars next weekend. I will put up pictures as soon as I can after we get back. In the mean time If you really need a pic of one of the buildings let us know and we will try to get you one by email. bob@rlbps.com |

I got my Arnica biuldings in the mail, and compared them as well as I could with my Frontline jail. The Frontline Buildings are very similar size-wise. I'd say the jail even a slightly larger scale. The ceiling of the flat-roofed Frontline building (and I only have the one) is not tall enough to accomodate a mini when the roof is on, but the doors of the Frontline building are slightly larger than the Arnica ones. I should also point out the Frontline buildings do NOT require assembly, just a little cleanup, and have basic internal detailing. I'm not going to send back my Arnicas by any means – but I will definately be buying more from the Frontline selection. |

Correction: You CAN put a based 28mm miniature inside the jail and still put the roof on. I have no idea why I thought otherwise. I will definately order more of these. |

I picked up the two-story hotel and the brick bank at the RLBPS booth at Cold Wars this weekend. I had previously purchased the entire line of Old West furniture from them. The furniture seemed to have a lot of casting bubbles but the buildings seem fine. They're definitely the most internally detailed buildings I've seen for Old West so far. Hopefully I'll get them and all the Old Glory buildings I have painted up before too long so I can see how they look together. Chris |

OK, so I took my time painting it, here are the photos. I hope they're clear enough. picture picture picture picture The last photo has the Frontline jail alongside the Texas Ranch House from MBA. I've also got Granny's Cabin from MBA – excellent Old West stuff! Expensive, but I don't have much time to paint lately. picture Enjoy! |
