To a few Foundry Ancient Germans, in the AG-17 pack, I added loincloths to two of them, the other one has sailor pants now, while the last one is wearing renaissance pants. One has a javelin now, another one a machete, while two have Essex arquebuses.

Do you think they will work as Europeans "gone native" like those in Ian Heath's "Armies of the Sixteenth Century" Vol. 2?

In Childersburg (Coca/Cosa), the DeSoto left a sick Spaniard and a Moor (Negro) attendant when the expedition moved on.
