How do the Hasslefree Miniatures "adventurer" characters size up to the usual sci-fi suspects like Copplestone, Urban War, GW and Pig Iron? Anyone have say a PIP trooper they can use for scale? I ordered the Heresy Minis sci-fi range some time ago assuming them to be close in scale to many manufacturers' minis, but found them tiny in comparrison. Just don't want to make the same mistake with Hasslefree. -B6 |

Hasslefree are small. But they're only small because they're more in proportion than most. Heightwise they're quite a good match with Copplestone et al but they look small. They are very similar to the suprisingly small Heresey ones. Does that make sense? Anyway, I think they're too small and haven't painted any yet, the detailings too fine for me to be comfortable with at the moment. Give me a couple of hours and I'll mail you a comparison shot. |

Hasslefree are best described as "fine" in detail as compared to many others listed above. They are, height-wise, equivalent to most sci-fi types, but the "seem" smaller due to Kev's desire to sculpt finely detailed minis. I have several, and his more recent are even visibly different from his earlier work. He's such a show off! ;] I think they are just dandy when mixed, but my standards are not as tight as some. I know many folks find that figures from different manufacturers do not mix well. It's as much a matter of taste as size and scale I think. just my 2 cents worth. |

Thanks for the comoparisons, theyre not that different, obviously better sculpts than a few of the others though. I want to know how theyre new halflings match up to others (especially flintloque ones, for when wessex games bring out halflings for panzerfauste). |
