Hello All:

I now have available one complete Model Color paint chip book for the Vallejo paint line. This book is a collection of paint chips (similar to the color strips you get at hardware stores when the wife wants yet another new color in the dining room) held together by a plastic post.

These are hand made using the actual paints (you can see the brush strokes) and for the serious painter are a fabulous tool for matching colors and building palettes.

They also include equivalency charts for a variety of other paint ranges including Tamiya, Humbrol and Testors.

As they are hand made they are, frankly, a bit pricy at $49.95. But for the serious or professional painter they can be an invaluable tool. But if you put your "TMP" handle in the order comments, it will ship postage-free anywhere in the world!

For more details and to see a picture of the book click here:

Backorders of this item are possible, but please be prepared for a fairly lengthy lead time.

More importantly, will you take it to shows so customers can use it to pick out paint?

Hmmm, let me see. If I have the chips customers will get the exact color they need. But if not, they'll have to buy every color that's close….

Yes, I have obtained a set for shows and reference.

Stop by and see the amazing color book at Little Wars!

I'll be there with wallet in hand!

One thing that really bugs me about Vallejo is the way that the actual paints rarely correspond to the printed guide (yeah, I know that printers inks may be slightly different, but we're talking virtually no resemblance at all sometimes).

Well, that and the names. I'm never</I> going to get over the fact that "Yellow Olive" is a green color so dark it usually looks black!

But now I can match swatches!
