Greetings gentlemen!

A friend of mine plans to make a Battletech Rasalhague infantry platoon from GZGs 25mm Scandinavians, but is still unsure because the pics provided by the manufacturer are, well, rather poor. So my question:

Does anybody have bigger, better resolution pictures of the 25mm GZG Scandinavians up on the web?

Painted or unpainted doesn´t really matter, we´re more interested in the general look and overall quality as can be derived from photos…

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Skol, Chris

I don't have pics, but I did have those minis at one point; as well as dozens of other GZG 25mm and 15mm minis. The overall quality of the minis is good, as are most GZG minis. My guess is that your friend will be quite pleased with them once he sees them in person.

Also, GZG's service is always good and their shipping is pretty quick too.

Got some unpainted figures here, and at least my camera doesn't crash my computer as it did last year with the previous version of the OS. The batteries just gave out while I was taking pictures, but I will be putting up some pictures later tonight.

Ok, these are bare metal, and there is some flash on one figure.

Taken without flash got the best results.
I'll try to make a closeup if I can figure out to do this successfully:-)

Pretty quick?? Jon must have a bloody teleporter-device judging from the extreme GZG speed of delivery.

Yep, that about sums it up! I received my last order from GZG four days after I placed it via their online store. That's incredible considering that I'm in San Diego, and GZG is in the UK. The longest that I've ever waited for a GZG order is six days.

FritsK, great pics :).

It's not too bad, but closeups aren't working (without flash). I'll try a tripod later this weekend. Grrrr

Closeups with autofocus didn't work out, but here is another overview photo that is a little sharper:

Hi,

I'm the friend of Chris, whom he talked about above – found the forum! :D

Nice picture – thanks! What do the figures have as face? As far I'm able to see, they have got glases and somthing which is on the fotos hard to see…

FritsK19 Dec 2005 1:15 a.m. PST

Some have glasses and some have a scarf or something across their face.

P.S. I'll try to get some closeups later this week If I can figure out how the manual focus works on my Nikon coolpix 2100. If it has manual focus…

Ok, I think I got the macro setting working:

These are pretty good closeups. Note that the third figure inthe first picture has a bit of flash between the riflt and the neck.

Argh! riflt -> rifle:-)

I think you should hire yourself out taking pictures of miniatures for the various online retailers. Pictures of minis are few and far between and never to the quality you just posted.

Considering the amount of time this took this might not be a wise career change:-) I'll just keep on taking photos when I feel like it.

Anyway, to have a complete range with photos of this quality (they can be a bit smaller though) would take a huge amount of disk space a bandwidth(if popular). I don't think your average minis company would like the ISP bill this could produce.

Wow, the pictures are good. :D I will get a Battletech Platoon (28+ men and women). The figures will fit perfectly. Thanks for all your help. :D
