What would the picture look like in Festung Europa, Afrika, and the Middle East, and where would Britain stand in all of this, since by early 1942 the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, unburdened by the demanding Ostkrieg, would now be free to cause mayhem…"
