Palantir CEO Alex Karp has made several provocative statements acknowledging that his company's technology is used by governments to target and kill enemies, including terrorists. These remarks originated across multiple public forums and interviews:

YouTube link Their government lobbyists: link At least the guy seems to be up front and honest. Even if the error rate is one trillionth of 1% when the AI is doing trillions of calculations per second and you are allowing it to automate and make decisions without direct human oversight (impossible to do in this environment) mistakes will be made and it will be too late to rectify them. Any new technology is a double edged sword and will be leveraged to help and kill people. Just like when the first cave man threw a stone at someone else instead of an animal to eat. Wolfhag |
