Nice read. Since WW2 the term Buffalo Soldier applied to all members of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments. I was a proud member of both. The 1/9 Real Cav and the 3/10 Cav. So a Buffalo Soldier in the Vietnam and later eras are not always Black.
As a veteran I am so glad to see that he is no longer unknown. |

As with Rudy, I was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry while at Fort Hood. Proud to have been a "Buffalo" soldier for that short time period. Jim |
