Greeting fellow gamers,
My thoughts go back to 2024 while we were signing the contract for this year's convention. It seemed such a long way off. Suddenly fast forward to the spring of last year when we did the post LW 2025 AAR. Next it was summer and the planning began in earnest. In the fall we started assigning dates and dead lines. Then right after the holidays the wheels began to turn faster. I looked at the count down, over 100 days to go, then 60 days, soon it was 30 days, and now we are two weeks out. Time does indeed fly, (at Mach 1).
But this is not our Board's first rodeo. Actually it is their 7th. While there will always be some room for improvement, we are confident this will be a Little Wars to remember. Topping out at 268 events, 5 tournaments and 32 vendors, all of the previous year's features will be back. We want to welcome you to have a great weekend and play in some awesome games. But Enough from me, here is what is in store for you:

Volunteers
If you have read this far down, you are one of our dedicated gamers. So I want to address you all. As I have stated before that this is YOUR organization. In my travels I get a large amount of feedback and thanks. I appreciate that very much, but HMGS-Midwest is only as good as we (our group) can make it. Help is always accepted, both before the con and during. So after you select your games and schedule your shopping sprees, see if there is a volunteer slot you could help us with. (Hey we have some really cool Staff T-Shirts.)
Keep up to date with the 2026 Calendar. There are plenty of save the dates. Also keep in mind some dates may change, so always check the most up to date newsletter. We are always open to publish your works on gaming, so don't be shy.
See you at the gaming table,
Kevin
