I ran four participation games of a scenario set in Konigsberg 1945 at Cancon in January. The game was in 20mm, using Chain of Command as the rule set. I've finally put together a blog post about how it all played out with plenty more pictures on the Tactical Painter blog. You'll find the post here: Twilight of the Reich CanCon 2026

I did guess, from the rig of the participants, this was not in the UK or Eastern United States/Canada right now.

I really like the burnt out PzIV

Great table and pieces.

That is a great looking table and the minis are also extremely well painted.

Cancon is Australia's biggest gaming convention

Yep, it's the height of summer down here at the moment and Canberra can get very warm. The last two years have been fine (25-28C) but this year saw a return to the hotter weather I often associate with CanCon (36-38C in the day, although nights are much cooler). Canberra is inland so doesn't benefit from any ocean breezes. That said it is also quite high which means its winters are colder, overnight and morning frosts being very normal (they are only 90 minutes drive from the Snowy Mountains and the ski resorts, although Canberra itself is too low lying to receive any snow and the occasional fall in winter rarely survives the day).

Well done and well told, Tactical. But it gets us no closer to what happened to the Amber Chamber.

Indeed. Although a misplaced round or two from an ISU-152 is no respecter of a world art treasure.

Looks like a great time with a great table and people
