Great report. Like your initiative and AP changes. Don't prefer grid/hexes myself. I wonder how easy it would be to change to regular map movement?

I think Joe only uses the hexon tiles because it is what he has. From looking at the pictures, there are several times that units extend across two tiles.

Nicely painted units and what appears to be a good game.

Thank you all for the kind words. No one has ever accused me of good painting before; I must be getting better. You can certainly see the difference between units painted ( and washed) in the last 3 years and those British I did for my pirate games 10 years ago.
Yes you hear little about the rules hence my post. Will do an actual review later with more games under my belt. I like them so far.
Col you are correct. The rules don't use a grid. They use inches and a ruler so Pzivh you are in luck; no changes needed. I just used the hexes as 3 inch "markers".
