I found this interesting and thought I'd share it: American assembly line for M3 Grant: youtu.be/3n4xA08-U2s At 6:00 it shows the making of the helical gear for the transmission. Supposedly the German were not able to do this and used regular straight gear teeth resulting in breakdowns for the Panthers and Tigers.
