Today's FT Weekend has a small article in its magazine on Warhammer. Mostly an article none of us would find surprising or "wow'. However its opening paragraphs do a very very brief history and state that as well as now being established in the FYTSE 100, GW now has a larger capitalisation than easyJet and JJB Sports. The comparison with another retailer is obvious enough, but to compare with EasyJet and those rather expensive flying machines is very interesting indeed. |

Thanks, Bill. An interesting article. Currently trading at $27.98 USD per share according to the internet. |

Just musing really, but is anyone aware of any overall analysis of the wargaming industry? How much of an outlier is GW? My sense is that a lot of wargame companies are still one-person or 'mom & pop' set-ups – the old 'labour of love' trope – but there are also some well established big players as well. |

Surprised its not behind their firewall ! The FT Weekend, is the w/e edition of the FT. Its one of the only remaining broadsheets now a couple of them have gone down the pan. I buy hard copy for many reasons, not least as a broadsheet its good for covering surfaces to paint figs on, and of course, to go under the cat's litter tray, feeding station… |
