Gentlemen: I received a 3 miniature pack of 25mm Miniature Figurine Indian Lancers (TSATF) and one lance is broken. Gorilla Glue didn't to the job. So, I'm turning towards Epoxy Glue. What Epoxy brand would you recommend for this old soldier? Thanks. |

Replacement with steel wire is the best solution. |

Agree with Billy. I doubt if any glue would ever hold it. Hobby shops or online stores sell what used to be called piano wire, but more commonly today seems to be called music wire. Lots of diameters to choose from. Tom |

All my colonial lancers use piano wire with the RalParthe lancers heads. Use a pin vise to drill out the hand. |

Or brass rod. It's easier to cut than steel, and won't gouge the nippers. Also easier to hammer and file for a spear point. Or just dull the tip. |

There is no glue whatsoever that will have a stable butt joint, if you're trying to just glue the lance back in place. Drill it out with a pin vise and replace with rod as suggested above. In fact, I even suggest a proactive replacement of all the spears. Not just the broken one. The "good" ones are destined to fail anyway. |

I'm with the consensus here: drill out the remnants, Use brass wire if you can get it, piano wire if you can't, or someone--North Star?--sells spears/pikes in packs. There just isn't enough area on a broken-off lance to have any hope of getting a good permanent bond. |
