Or possibly tavern? In the interests of skirmish/RPG gaming, and inspired by Rick's Cafe Americain, I have created an SF counterpart, Rixx (the Hutt)'s Cafe Aldaran, and a Ren/Fantasy place which might be either a straightforward tavern or an inn, depending on how I set it up. Rooms, furniture, staff and (NPC) patrons are pretty much assembled, but I'm open to suggestions for a name or names. "Richard's" or "Rikkard's" just doesn't have a period feel. I could maintain the "Rick" theme with "The White Boar" (Richard III) or "The Lion's Heart" (Richard I) but I keep hearing Mark Twain on the difference between the lightning bolt and the lightning bug. Any suggestions? No outright theft, please: no Green Dragon, Prancing Pony or Old Phoenix Inn, or even "The Bag of Nails." (John Dickson Carr: Presumably once "The Bachanals" but the new owner was a little weak on classical allusions.) Thanks. |

"Ye Olde White Harte" (after the personal badge of Richard II) link the perfect place for a plot (and a pint). |

Roc's "Gaffer and Marigold" (on the signboard, a grinning geezer holds up a flower). (confused? sound out the name) |

"…but I'm open to suggestions for a name or names. "Richard's" or "Rikkard's"…" My suggestion:
"Dicks Inn"…. |
