Today I published 47 plates (out of 244) of Carle Vernet and fellows of his studio in my Uniformenportal at link

The plates were from a rare facsimile edition of the Brunon collection published at the begin of the 1960s. They are a good choice of uniform types and different troops, so we get a good view about the appearance of the French army in the late napoleonic era.

As I stated in the introduction you must keep in mind, that the new uniform should have been delivered not before 1813 and even many units of the 1813/14 period still wore the older cuts and equipment.
