Contrast painting never looked as good on my horses in 28mm, let alone what is now 20mm (not by choice). But in 15/18mm they are superb. Oh yes. The humans. The facial features…in any scale…the horse harness….I wish |

The horses are not painted with Contrast paints, the usal acrylic and artist water colour method. |

you use the artist water colours with a paint flow impprover over a pre painted basic layer of lets say dark flesh and then remove with a wet tip of the brush the areas where you like the highlights. When I paint on the acrylic layer over the primed miniature, I am sparing the recesses, to created deep shades. |
