Hi guys

The first of my Kurita mechs is nearing completion, this Shadowhawks paint scheme is based on the Amaterasu, an all female Draconis Combine unit, I'm only doing one in this colour scheme, so I will have to come up with a backstory as to why they are here, the markings are a combination of hand painted and decals, the hand painted ones are gibberish, as I do not write/speak Japanese.

I have always liked the theme of dark jungle horror, Vietnam war movies, predator etc, so have decided to set my 15mm Battletech projects on alien jungle terrain, the overall terrain colour will be green, with very small amount of understated purple shades, these are my thoughts, whether I can pull it off is another matter, the project will cover 5 factions, with 8-12 mechs each, plus vehicles and infantry, and will have Kurita, Steiner, Jade Falcon the Rasalhague republic and a Kurita based Merc company.

I still have some painting to do on this mech, the cockpit glass, heat sinks and some other small details, then I will weather it some more, then finish the base, the base will have a lot more foliage when done.

It's a piece of art, gorgeous! It makes me want to start a Battletech project.
Can you tell me where you get those mechs from?
Cheers,

It's 3D printed in resin, I printed it from a freely available file, it was done on my old machine which was having problems at the time, so it has lots of print lines, I did a lot of work to get it to this stage, I have mechs printed on my new machine (newish, I've had it 3 years)that are near perfect.

That's really great work.

The tategaki writing is really well done, as well as, the floral designs.

Nice, I also play 15mm with mechs I printed up. Love the paint jobs. What decals did you use for that Shadowhawk (I. E. Where did you grab them from?)

There's several sets used, all sourced eBay, except one set which I got from hobby link Japan (HLJ) they have a pretty good selection of decals intended for use with Gundams etc.
