"Lutzen Battle 1632. Yellow Brigade. Musketers" Topic

I am starting a new period (stopping the other prokects) but I do like these uniforms and the templates. I hope you too. Any suggestions to make them better is welcome

Possible variation: I think the stockings are held up by some sort of garter. One of the lads may have lost a garter, so his stocking would have slipped down to his ankle. If you want, give him red hair and moustache like me, since I'm pretty sure to be the one guy in the regiment who lost his garter!

I guess somebody has to raise the question. Are you convinced they should be that uniformed?

A while since I have read about this period, so I haven't possibly read the latest, but I thought the "colour" of the German regiments was represented in their flags, not their clothing?

@Phillius. This is a question that has been put a lot of times. It seems to me – but I can be wrong – that above all the yellow and blue brigades were really mostly dressed in those colours and not just the flags. This was probably true for the Germans Brigades (red, black green and so on), while for the 2 Swedish brigades it is almost certain they did wear a sort of uniform. I don't remember where I read this but in a chonicle of the time an Imperial general saw the "yellow and blue brigase approacing with their distinguishing uniforms"; if I find the source I will report it. As final I would add, they look very nice in this colour.

The Osprey books had some good arguments for at least the Yellow and Blue regimental uniforms. I should point out that red stockings were a noted aspect of Imperial forces.

Thanks Shagnasty. I think you are right. The red will be avoided at all; Osprey gives by sure these two brigdes wearing a sort of yellow and blue uniforms.
