Do people have experience with using"Collector" versus "Showcse" or other levels of painting quality for 28mm historicals, medieval and pike/shot? Back in the day, it seemed like people were satisfied with Collector standard, but I didn't know whether that had changed. I have used Fernando for 15mm many times for different periods and have been satisfied, but never for 28mm. I especially have some 28mm Late Roman and some 28mm ECW figures I was thinking about sending. |

I've used them all, but not since I retired. I was certainly very happy with the work they did on my 28mm, and also on my 40mm. I have had them paint to the basic wargame standard and the higher standard. Worth going with. |

The key is really having good sources for them to work from and photos of painted figures you wish them to match. They should then tell you whether it needs to be Collector or Showcase (or you can just ask). In my experience the key is to keep asking for adjustments once they start sending sample photos – they seem willing to do a lot to satisfy the customer. |

I have recently gotten a batch back from the them. The models were exactly like my photos. Excellent quality and paintings. No complaints, they even send you progress reports with photos. I am currently gathering another batch to send to them! |

BillyNM+1 – yes, the more clear your instructions the higher the odds you get what you want. |

I have found that the higher level you choose the more experience and better painters you get. Even so I go to great lengths to send them detailed pictures and descriptions. But you have to make your instructions easy and clear. I usually go with the showcase level quality for 18/15mm. I will soon be sending some 28mm AWI in the next couple of months which will be the first time I used them for 28mm. |
