I'm not a GW player, but a local store carries a large selection of their fantasy and sci-fi sets. Anyway, I saw some of their Grand Cathay figures yesterday and I think they look great. I especially like the peasant sets. Their prices are scarey, but the army look cool.

I don't know if it's autocorrect or fat fingers, but the title should say, "Cathay."

The only problem with these and many recent GW releases (apart from price, of course) is that they come in a million pieces for assembly, and some kits actually lack much customizability despite that large number of pieces. They really are more "expert" models than tabletop miniatures. Some may see that as a positive, but it is a difference from the past.

Thanks for the information. That is definitely a negative for me.

I really like them. However, these figures are designed for 25mm bases as they are tied in to the Old World game which is designed for that. I do not like The Old World and would prefer to play earlier editions of Warhammer- maybe proxying them for Empire troops ( in terms of an army list) but the 25mm basing is the issue.

I know that I could use them for something else like maybe Oathmark but that means finding players whearas finding someone to play a GW game is super easy
