Intrigued by the comments of others on Neil Thomas' Napoleonic Wargaming Rules (NTNWR), I thought I should try them out with some friends.

A quick overview of the game and my thoughts on the rules, that I will try again, is on my blog.

For what size miniatures are these rules designed? We have a very large collection of 25mm Napoleonics.

Thanks,

Jim

They are scale agnostic, but certainly weren't designed with 6mm figures in mind albeit they do feature in some photos. The rules have close order infantry units consisting of four bases with quoted base-widths of:
40mm for 15mm figures
60mm for 20-25mm
80mm for 28-30mm

I would opt for six smaller bases meaning the weakest a unit would ever appear before being removed is three bases, but the extra two bases would be just for aesthetics.

I like Thomas rules.
