Recently played a pretty massive game at Legendary Wargames, Operation Blockbuster, a late War operation with Canadian and British forces against the Germans.

Two tables both 24 feet long by 6 feet made a fabulous playing area.

Excellent AAR and a really impressive setup, Roger. I'd never heard of Legendary Wargames, but if I ever get back to the UK (unlikely, but…) I'll make time to visit.

I was just in Arcen, Limburg last week. Fascinating to learn that it was one of the last parts of the Netherlands to be liberated. I foolishly thought that because no big operations had happened there and the frontline had stayed static on the Meuse since shortly after Market Garden that the area was largely unscathed. Of course, being a village on the frontline through the winter of 1944 wasn't very idyllic at all.

Not to mention the west side of the Meuse and the battles for Overloon (Aintree) as well as the German diversionary attacks to draw away from Operation Pheasant and there's a huge amount of interesting history here. Not often talked about, thanks for the great write up!
