The artist is unfamiliar with the source material, obviously. |

I would expect a deeper red hue to her skin tones, but apart from that extremely minor quibble, this is outstanding work! The whole gallery of photos are extremely impressive. |

Looks like a Frank Frazetta painting, doesn't it? Very well done. |

I like everything about this piece, except the metal bra. I don't even have substantial masses of soft tissue there, and it looks painful to wear. Let's send the picture to Jill Bearup for a Just Stab Me Now assessment. |

beautiful work ! Yeah, skin should be redder. |

Based on what is showing in the background, she should be holding a paintbrush instead of a sword… ;-) |

"I did my research", meaning I googled her. Gazette invariably depicts her with a navel, so who are we to quibble? |
John the OFM | 27 Oct 2025 7:26 a.m. PST |
Damn autocorrect! Frazetta!!! Harrumph!!! |
robert piepenbrink | 27 Oct 2025 9:11 a.m. PST |
Beautiful! Figure, person and paint job all three. Thank you, Machinehead! (And I'm sure there's a soft lining of some sort underneath the metal of the bra. Sorak hide, possibly.) Query: Anyone have a reason why she has two names? Almost without exception otherwise, Barsoomian women have a single name--Thuvia, Tara or such, usually modified by "of [City.] Likewise, male names are overwhelmingly three syllables, and fathers and sons share one syllable. Yes, I compiled lists for character generation. Sue me. |

Should be a more red tone. I'm sure most artist would show a navel with or without research. |

P.S. Frazetta, Frazetta, Frazetta! Autocorrect has no respect! |

She is wearing too much for Dejah Thoris. |
