Christ on a Crutch in Hell. Chat GPT 4 gave me SUCH a good CO-OP Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat Simulator scenario – with everyone having secret objectives that could break the fragile alliance. A rift anomaly that diverted warp traffic around it has manifested in Neutral space, near the Tholians. The post ST VI Feds got their new Klingon allies to join them, along with Roms and Tholians, to investigate the rift. While the Tholian(yours truly) immediately started dropping Web containment Drones(LEDs) all around the anomaly, the other factions scanned it thoroughly, learning more and more – with successful rolls, which the Rom kept missing (including a nat 00 0)(when he had to NOT roll a 1 on a D4, he not only rolled it, but demonstrated it on a D10/2 also!).
The Klingon player BOLDLY goed. The Feds peacefully followed and helped. The Roms weaselingly gained all the SECRET objectives they had, which the Feds let slide(probably due to copious beer) and they gained FULL advancement points for doing so!
The anomaly was contained due to brave co-op action, and the Romulans Bleeped texting off was par for the course.
It was a most enjoyable BD present, and I cannot wait for the next game around Xmas!
BUT it is clear the players prefer this non-confrontational co-op type of effort!

Oh, thank Heaven! When I read STSTCS, I was afraid some suit had created a new spin-off. (You think it can't get worse than Star Trek 90210? Wait five years.)
