3D printing sure has come a long way. The detail is crisp and the painting really make them pop out. Many thanks for posting. |

I love the chipped paint effect. That is so realistic. The AA guns are really unusual and all gun crews are incredibly detailed. |

What is the lightest anti-aircraft gun (the one with wagon wheels on a round base)? It looks like a .50-caliber equivalent, more or less. It also looks like something my Greeks might have fielded, so I want to check it out. I like the containers for shells--they do make the gun on its base more diorama like. Grelber |

Great stuff. Excuse a couple of really basic questions, did you print them yourself and if you did print them, where did you get the schematics(?) in order to print? I am toying with buying a 3-D printer for gaming, but do not know enough about how the hobby meets-up with the technology, if that makes any sense. |

The AA guns are 20mm type 98, re the printing question, yes, I printed these myself, there are 2 types of printers, plastic or resin, for models like this you need a resin printer, plastic printers are good for large terrain pieces, but will give those ugly lines you see in many prints, there are free files, or you can buy files, bought ones are generally more accurate/detailed, but not always, there are many good free files, this lot is a mix of bought and free, for free files, Thingyverse is you best bet, for buying, try wargaming3D, myminifactory or cultz3D, there are 10s of thousands of files, after a while you may even look at learning how to 3D sculpt, I have successfully done that as well, for instance, these are some of my designs

Thanks very much, Gunner! Looking up the Type 98, it seems to have been based on the French Hotchkiss Model 1930, though there were probably some modifications. Now to check back and see if the Greeks were using this gun, what modifications they may have used, and who makes them. Thanks again! Grelber |
