Empire III has no Blown Cavalry rule just 3 Fatigue points at end of impulse in which a charge or charges took place. IV and V brought in the Blown 'rules' with only 1 Fatigue Point. RxE follows the latter rule. What was the thinking behind the change? |

But in my experience those 3 fatigue points ( in III) do start to wear out a cavalry unit, 1 time gets detrimental, 2nd mostly makes the unit susceptible to any other cavalry unit that isn't worn out. Seems to work for me |

Yes I'm inclined to agree with 14Bore that 3 Fatigue Points at the end of impulse is a good idea but maybe having Blown rule/counters stops said Cavalry performing any form of Charge in the following impulse owned or otherwise. Like the idea of Heavy/Medium Cav having only TWO functions and Light THREE per impulse. |
